What For Ads, Is Google Starting To Collect Children's Data News That Induce Concern

Recently a news report increased everyone’s concern by informing them that Google is going to start children’s data collection to use those data in Ads. This news report accused Google of breaching many privacy laws.

This shocking report was published in Adalytics, an advertising publishing firm. They accused youtube of serving personalized ads on children-friendly channels and videos. If Google takes this decision then it will break its promise to protect kids in the online era.

This is a serious accusation since the 2019’s settlement with the Federal Trade Commission Google accepted that they wouldn’t violate the COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act).

COPPA brings down restrictions on every app and website that they can not collect personal data of children who are under 13 without the consent of the parents. For this settlement, Google has to stop collecting children’s data and give away $170 million.

According to the news report, Google allows advertisers to target children by using their data.  In response to this news report, Google denied the allegations and said that it was all a lie.
